Classes

Class Types

We offer several classes, each with a different set up, style or training outcome. Of course this means every class varies in difficulty, intensity and the components which make them up.

This is why we offer an induction to everyone before they come to public classes, so everyone has the same level of knowledge around the set up and health and safety aspects of using the bungee system.

For the purposes of public classes, Steps 1 and 2 are mandatory, giving you the basic core movements and then the advanced ones in step 2.

We want you to have the best possible experience with us!

Fly

dance

By far our most popular class!

If you love to dance, have fun and LOVE music, this is the class for you… our instructors will take you through a choriography routine and then put it all together to “perform” it at the end. It is a bit easier going than other classes, but if you want more of a challenge… come to FLY+!

SWEAT

tabata

Think of this like a circuits class with a challenge. Short rounds of various, high energy jumps, core and lower body moves… but non-stop!

While anyone can give this a go, it’s not for the faint hearted. It will be a challenge, but also fun, with lots of high energy music and moves.

BLAST

aerobics

Also very popular for those who just want to dance and have fun… this will definitely get your heart rate up! A combination of dance and fitness moves put to music, repeated over and over until your heart is pumping! If you want let loose AND work hard, give this a try!

SWITCH

circuits

Keeping it simple with time on and off, combining various fitness and dance moves designed to challenge your fitness for strength, toning and aerobics. If you want to take it easy but get a good workout, this is the place for you!

FAQs

  • Do I need to do the Beginners Induction class, or can I just jump into any class?

We ask that all adults (16+) completes a Beginners Induction prior to choosing their first bungee class. This is so you can have time to understand the basic moves and have some time to try different harnesses and different bungees.  It is also for your safety.  Your instructor will always be there to help get you ready for class, but in this session, we do teach you how to set yourself up safely and give you all the tools and confidence to start your bungee journey.  Book one of our Total beginner Induction Class today and you will SAVE 20% on your next 3 classes.

If you can not get to one of our Total Beginner Induction classes, we also have availability for private inductions. Please inbox us at southcoastbungee@gmail.com or contact us via Facebook/Instagram.

  • Is there parking?

Yes we have parking outside the venue.

Please note, the business park itself has cameras at the entrance and exit.  If you intend to stay within an hour (class is 50mins) you will not need to pay, please make sure you write your car registration in the book at reception.  If you go over an hour you will need to pay for parking which is £2.49 (this covers you for up to 2 hours).  If you do not stay within these restrictions, or do not get a ticket, you will be fined.  Unfortunatley this is out of South Coast Bungee’s hands.

If you are a member of SCB you get an exemption as you help with set up and take down of equipment.

  • What do I wear to a bungee class?

Fitness attire. Something comfortable that allows you to move. Trainers are mandatory.

  • Do I need to bring anything to class?

    Just water and towel.

  • Which class should I start with?

You must do an induction class first, then you can feel free to choose, you know your general fitness/exercise experience level but to give you some insight:

    1. Bungee Fly = DANCE fitness class.  This is a choreographed piece, hitting highlights in the music.

“Fly” Basic Combinations, Front facing only, Easier moves & choreography.

“Fly +” Split combinations, change of directions, more challenging moves & choreography.

    2. Bungee Blast = AEROBIC Fitness Class.  This is an Add-On aerobics on a bungee class.

“Blast” is Slower Paced (Music runs at 110-125 bpm)

“Blast +” is Faster paced (Music runs at 120-135bpm)

    3. Bungee Tabata = HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training).  Tabata training breaks a workout down into clearly defined intervals – typically, 20 seconds of a push-it-to-the-limit exercise followed by 10 seconds of rest.

This class is for All abilities.

  • Is there a weight limit?

Our bungees are capped at 20 stone so regretfully for safety, we can’t go above that.

  • I have an injury/have recently had a baby/have a medical condition, can I still attend?

Our harnesses and bungees are there to support you.  We have many people who really appreciate the extra physical support whilst working out as there is less impact than regular classes.  This does not mean this class is suitable for you and your particular situation.  Every injury/health condition is different.  We are not doctors, and so as before commencing ANY fitness programme, it is vital you consult your doctor.  We are non-negotiable on this.  Please do not attend if you have not had the go-ahead.  We respect medical privacy, also please know you will be asked prior to class for ‘any injury or illness’ purely so we can give adaptions to moves where required, please only give information you are comfortable giving and speak with your instructor prior to class if you’d rather.  This is for your health and safety and will make sure you get the best out of your Bungee session.  (Private sessions are also available should you feel more comfortable doing this rather than a class)

  • I see you do 1-2-1 sessions but can’t see where to book them?

That’s correct, we run many 1-2-1 sessions.  If you’d like to book a private 1-2-1 session with any of our instructors please contact southcoastbungee@gmail.com.

  • Do I have to have a membership to participate?

No.  You can purchase single classes at £12.50 per session and can book on whenever you like (as long as you have done an Induction Session for H&S and to know the basic moves).

If you love the Bungee Buzz and want to be a part of our tribe.  Membership is £40 for 4 sessions per month (£10 per session) or £72 for 8 sessions per month (£9 per session)
